Monad Music is back after a short
sabbatical and we return with what we feel is one of our
strongest releases to date. Legendary Croatian DJ\Production
team Pacco & Rudy B take time out from their busy schedule
(they’ve over 15 releases this year alone) to provide us
with not one
but two stunning mixes of their Techno monster Marathon. Def Disko steps up with a top class Tech House remix while Johan
Chatkowski completes this something for everyone package with
an excellent big room Prog House interpretation.
Original :
On the original mix of Marathon Pacco &
Rudy B show why they are gaining such a huge reputation
worldwide. It is one of those tracks that stays with you long
after you’ve left the club. The tight funky percussion and
hypnotic bassline lock you in the groove straight away from
there you’re taken on a journey through lush melodic elements
and rich atmospheric key changes.
Pacco & Rudy B Remix :
On their own remix of Marathon Pacco &
Rudy B deliver a delicious late night Techno stomper. The
track retains all the drive and funk of the original but is
given a real sense of urgency by a blissfully tripped out synth motif that twists and turns its way through warm pads
and filtered sweeps.
Def Disko Remix :
Dublin
based DJ\Producer Def Disko aka Des O’Leary delivers a Tech
House tour de force on his killer reworking of
Marathon. He stays true to the spirit of the
original but ramps up the energy level tenfold with some taut
driving beats and a blistering bassline that demands you sit
up and take notice.
Johan Chatkoski Remix :
Johan Chatkoski takes Marathon to the floor of the main room
with his uplifting Progressive House interpretation of Marathon. Powered by a dynamic rhythm section
and chunky bassline it delivers that big hands in the moment
with a delightful almost old skool piano and vocal breakdown.

Leo Rojas has gained a great reputation as
one of Argentina’s most innovative young DJ\Producers by
fusing his DJ sets with live musicians and stunning visuals.
He brings this sense of adventure to his Monad Music debut
Dark Streets which is a prime time slice of Progressive
mayhem. The remix duties are skillfully handled by Camillo and
Valandi Pangea.
Original Mix

The original mix of Dark Streets is as the
name suggests both dark and dangerous. It starts with tight
punchy percussion and a filtered bass line that opens out to
devastating effect this is followed by some menacing melodies
and arpeggios that have enough twists and turns to keep you hooked
right up to the final beat.
Camillo Remix
:
Fellow Argentinean Camillo comes up trumps
with his Tribal Tech House interpretation of Dark Streets.
This mix hits the dance floor head on with a fluid bouncing
bass beats combination and rich warm melodic elements that are
guaranteed to make even the most discerning crowd move as one.
Valandi Pangea Mix
:
Greek born DJ\Producer Valandi
Pangea takes the dark edginess of the original and ramps it up
a few notches. The track is packed full of raw energy with
twisted beats, discordant stabs and an abrasive insistent bass
line that winds the tension to such a degree that it might
just explode at any minute.
